Tuesday August 18
We had already made the decision to spend another day and a
night here in Bishop Bay, so no mileage covered today.
But, it was not a wasted day, by any means.
By 10 AM all the boats had left the bay, and we had it to
ourselves. I tied on to the mooring buoy
that we had shared with the other boat the night before.
Lisa got her gear together and we motored to shore and she
had her soak. The ramp up from the float
had been damaged and taken away so we had to make our own way up to the hot
tub, which was a little difficult. I had not planned to go in to the tub, but after seeing it
and seeing how much Lisa enjoyed it, I took them back to the boat, got my gear
together, and went back by myself and had a wonderful soak. No need for a bathing suit.
Lisa enjoys her soak. That's her suit in a pile on the railing, which is why she is crouching down.
There are all types of mementos left in the tub area from previous visitors.
What a beautiful day!
I had thought that if no other boats arrived that I might go
back for another soak in the evening. No
such luck. About mid-day boats started
to arrive, and by 6 PM there were 8 boats in the bay, so no evening soak for
me.
When we go back next year I will bring a name sign for
Faraway to hang up in the tub area.
